Despite economic challenges, Duisburg remains a robust real estate location. The 2024 real estate market report by Duisburg Business & Innovation shows a positive trend in the logistics, investment and residential real estate sectors. Take-up in the logistics sector rose by 40% to 81,700 m², while the investment market grew faster than the national trend with an increase of 147% to €203 million.
Demand for Unternehmensimmobilien, particularly flex spaces and last-mile logistics, remains high. The residential market is recording rising rents with little new construction activity. The office market is showing stable turnover, while the hotel industry has almost reached pre-crisis levels.
Duisburg is focusing on sustainable urban development, energy-efficient refurbishment and the revitalization of brownfield sites. The dynamism of the location shows: Duisburg remains attractive, continues to develop and offers investors and companies the best prospects for the future.
