Duisburg Business & Innovation GmbH endeavors to make its digital offerings accessible without barriers. The basis for this is the Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSG), which implements EU Directive 2019/882 (European Accessibility Act). The aim is to provide all users - regardless of their individual abilities or technical aids - with equal access to our information and services.
We are continuously working on designing our digital content in accordance with the applicable legal requirements and gradually removing existing barriers. In doing so, we are guided by recognized standards, in particular EN 301 549 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at conformity level AA.
Our website is currently undergoing further development to make it as accessible as possible. The technical implementation is carried out in close cooperation with specialized service providers and in compliance with legal requirements. We see accessibility not only as a legal obligation, but also as an expression of our commitment to participation, transparency and an inclusive society.
