The HUB Project Development & Europe is shaping the future of Duisburg's economy together with important partners.
A sustainable economy, especially in a region undergoing structural change such as Duisburg at the interface between the Lower Rhine and Ruhr regions, requires a high degree of resilience in the context of the European single market. The further development of the employment and industry structure is a basic prerequisite for this. To this end, the Project Development and Europe Hub works in numerous networks and projects. This is done with a large number of different partners from numerous EU countries, from business, science and administration.
The districts of Kleve and Wesel and the city of Duisburg as well as the Lower Rhine Chamber of Industry and Commerce in the Lower Rhine Regional Management, start-ups, small and medium-sized enterprises, corporations, administrations and municipal companies, university and non-university research and development from all over Europe contribute to project progress that no single player could achieve alone.
The HUB Project Development & Europe pays special attention to projects from the Interreg program. While Transformation Accelerator (Accelerate GDT) deals with thematic company networks and policies to accelerate the green and digital transformation, Circular Construction (ASSET) focuses on the implementation of the circular economy in the construction sector of the Eurodelta region. DBI is also leading a project on future skills (JETSKIR) in a holistic economic transformation.
