The Advisory Board of Duisburg Business & Innovation GmbH (DBI) was founded on November 11, 2021 with 18 members from business, science and administration. Today, it comprises 19 members who were personally appointed for a term of three years.
As a strategic body, it is a source of ideas and impetus for new projects as well as a network that brings in and bundles the competencies, experience, contacts and expertise of the individual members. It is also an ambassador and alliance for the economic development of a strong Duisburg in order to strengthen the interface between business and science. The Advisory Board also acts as a corrective to the work and course of the DBI.
Chairman of the Advisory Board is Bernhard Osburg, CEO of thyssenkrupp steel Europe. His deputy is Dr. Stefan Dietzfelbinger, Managing Director of the Lower Rhine Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
