He is known as the currywurst man from ‘Die Höhle der Löwen’: Marco Peters is now passing on his knowledge to start-ups in Duisburg as a start-up consultant at the business development agency. DBI is thus continuing its strategy of establishing our city as a centre for innovation and start-ups. This includes the targeted promotion of start-ups and innovative business models.
As a founder, Marco Peters has a wealth of experience and authenticity. He will be the new contact person in the Duisburg team for start-ups and those looking to set up their own business. The 52-year-old entrepreneur is the inventor of the currywurst in a jar (‘Iss doch Wurscht’) and rose to media fame via the investor show ‘Die Höhle der Löwen’ on the TV channel VOX. Most recently, the Duisburg native made a name for himself as a book author with a guide to brilliant business ideas.
Peters is already firmly anchored in the start-up ecosystem in Duisburg and knows companies and the players involved well. Before becoming self-employed, the business economist worked for twelve years as a consultant in lean management and process optimisation. ‘I have the experience to provide start-ups with targeted support and to accompany their development from the very beginning,’ explains Marco Peters. ‘I am delighted to be able to pass on my experience in my home city of Duisburg.
The start-up consultation takes place on the 4th Wednesday of every month from 3 to 5 pm in the DBI Citymanagement shop at Kuhtor, Poststraße 14.
